Ways of working

Coaching, training, facilitation and mediation

Four distinct pieces of work, often combined. Each one is scoped with you before anything begins.

One-to-one

Coaching

Regular, confidential sessions for people who are carrying a decision, a transition or a weight they have nowhere else to put down.

We work on what is actually in the way — the assumption, the avoided conversation, the habit that made sense five years ago — and turn it into something you can act on this week.

  • Typically six sessions of 60–90 minutes
  • Online or in person across the UK
  • Clear confidentiality agreed up front
  • Progress reviewed at the halfway point

Leadership Training

Practical development for people who manage others — whether they have just started or have been doing it for twenty years without ever being taught how.

Sessions are built around real situations your managers are facing, not case studies. Short input, plenty of practice, and something to take back to the team.

  • Giving and receiving feedback well
  • Difficult and courageous conversations
  • Delegation, trust and letting go
  • Leading a team through change

In the room

Facilitation

An independent pair of hands for away days, strategy sessions, planning workshops and any conversation where the person who would normally chair it needs to take part instead.

I design the session with you beforehand, hold the room on the day and send back a clear record of what was decided and by whom.

  • Session designed with you in advance
  • Structured so quieter voices are heard
  • Decisions and owners captured live
  • Written summary within three days

When things have stalled

Mediation

Impartial support where a working relationship has broken down and the usual routes have not worked. Mediation is voluntary, confidential and without prejudice.

I meet each person separately first, then bring both sides together only when they are ready. The aim is a workable agreement both people have shaped themselves.

  • Private meetings with each party first
  • Entirely voluntary at every stage
  • Independent of HR and line management
  • A written agreement both parties own

Not sure which of these you need?

Most people are not, at first. Describe the situation and I will tell you honestly where I think it should start — or if someone else would serve you better.
